Dear Mrs Whittle,
Thank you for purchasing one of our wigs from the shopping channel. I am pleased that you are delighted with it. Our Technical Team works very hard to ensure that our customers get the very best possible product. We take great pride in the quality of all our wigs as each are individually inspected by us before being shipped out.
With regard to the fitting of the wig it is really quite simple once you get use to it.
Inside the cap you will see at the back a label, so that is the back.
There are also 2 elastic straps, one on either side with which you can tighten the fit if you need to.
Above those straps on the edge of the cap there is a little section on either side that are known as the ear tabs. Inside these tabs it feels a little stiff, These can be bent slightly inwards so that the cap of the wig lies flatter at the temples instead of sticking out . These ear tabs go over the top of either ear, following your natural hair line but not covering your ears. If one of the tabs is higher on one side of your face than the other then the wig is not on straight – the tabs should be level.
At the front of the wig again the edge of the cap inside should follow your natural hairline and not come down onto your forehead so the base of the wig looks like your natural hairline. you can then dress the fibre of the wig into the style and of course the fibre can be dressed to cover your ears or your forehead if you wish but the cap structure should not cover your ears.
To put on your wig after acquainting yourself with its structure, secure your own hair as flat as possible either by clipping it flat or using a wig cap. Find the centre front so you know roughly where it is and hold the tabs with each hand as if you are putting on a hat and slip your head inside from the front and ease the wig down at the back. Now check that the ear tabs are level and then ease the wig back to your natural hairline. Then dress into your style. If the fringe is too long you can have it cut to your desired length.
Be sure to follow the care instructions enclosed to keep your wig looking lovely for longer. If you keep a separate brush for dressing your wig it will stay cleaner longer because you will not be putting grease from your own hair onto your wig.
I hope you find this information helpful. If you would like any of our technical advisers to call you, please call us on 0207 096 8955.
Best regards
